boost gauge easy to fit?
how does a boost gauge fit? and is it easy to do?
i guess the hose fits somewhere inbetween the t-piece area on the turbo. |
Real easy for anyone whose a bit handy. Do a search there at plenty of how to guides on this with pictures.

Depends on the year/model but usually about 30 mins to an hour to fit , Pipe can be t`d off the smaller vaccum hose near the factory recirc valve or off the manifold, Leave the boost solenoid hoses as they are.

would that be the hose off the dump valve?

If you have a UK car, look at the inlet manifold, front n/s. There should be a small unused nipple with a rubber cover over it.
Remove cover, plug boost pipe onto that nipple, job done. |
+1 ,If you still are unsure where it is :
If you look on your inlet manifold in front of your coil pack ,you shouldsee a rubber hose which passes under your coilpack and connects to your recirc/vta valve. The plug next to this on your inlet manifold normally has a black sheath over it,simply pull this off and fit 3mm tubing for your boost gauge and follow the existing plumbing and take it into the car. |
thanks guys, very helpfull. just waiting for it to arrive then its fitting time.
