430bhp and 400 torque on a 5 speed? I didnt think the 5 speed gearbox's could take that much? I was under the impression that they are at risk of breaking round the 350ish mark?

Anything over 300lbs of torque and you are pushing your luck on a 5 speed (especially a classic), though 2.5sti probably has a 6 speed box going by his name ;)
Tony:D I've been trying to figure out the best value for money option on a gearbox that will take a lot more power. Eventually, I'd like about 400 bhp/lbs torque. When ever i see all the different types of box's on sale, they have different names, codes, etc. and I havent got clue what means what lol I have a wrx bugeye, will any bugeye sti gearbox see me right? Sorry for the thread hijack! |

These clutches are great!
We have fitted these to many of our customers cars, and they retain OEM pedal feel and driving experience. We have had them in car's upto and around 400/400, and have ran one in our rally car with sequential gearbox and flat foot shifting with no problems ;-) Hope this helps! Regards Attachment 67738 |
Cool thanks lads:thumb:
