oil leak after rebuild
 
hi guys please help im after some advice i have rebuilt my engine and ive got an oil leak around the cam belt area i sealed both rocker covers before fitting them but theres oil around the front of the engine once its been run for a while any advise would be a great help thanks neil.

I assume you replaced the camshaft oil seal and used OE gaskets and triplebond for the rocker covers. Pattern rocker cover gaskets are notorious for being sh!t:wonder:

hi i used tripple bond i didnt repalce the cam shaft seals and used the existing rocker cover gaskets ? thanks neil.

Guess at cam seals leaking or you didnt put sealant on the front cam caps (seal carrier caps).

I had the same problem, if it's the cam seal pop off the cambelt cover and oil will be sitting in there. If not, then rocker seal. I've had so many oil leaks I lost count, pain in the arse.
