- Crank (and/or cam) sensor's replaced?

But if you had the immob. fitted at the same time though, my betting's on that being the issue.

ray_21089 23 January 2012 03:42 PM

Theyv used the sensors from the old engine which was running, alarm system was already installed before engine replacement

Could be a few problems mate check Earthing because the Engine been out , Also sounds like could be elic if it wont fire hard to help with out seeing the car turning over Immobiliser could be the issus but find it hard to belive it shouldnt reset . Check the Ecu also a good idea just incase yours is differnt cam sensor's can also stop the car turning over

what alarm/immobiliser have you got ?

- Is the fuel pump priming? Can you hear its 'whine' when put the ign. on?

- Did the garage open up the heads and remove the cams (for whatever reason)? If so, did they put them back in their correct places?

ray_21089 23 January 2012 03:53 PM

When put ignition on I can really hear the buzz noise from the fuel pump, also heads were not opened, was just a full engine replacement and inlet manifold from old engine to new engine

ray_21089 23 January 2012 03:56 PM

Cant* hear the fuel pump buzz as should

joz8968 23 January 2012 03:57 PM

Can't hear it? Or can? :wonder:

:D Don't confuse the poor bloke. ;)

ray_21089 23 January 2012 04:01 PM

I'm sure the fuel pump ment to click and buzz when ignition is on,but it doesn't do that, alkso can't smell fuel when turn over.

ray_21089 23 January 2012 04:03 PM

Yes I'll try to geta vid up of it turning, the mechanic said he's looked it up more than 3 times and all seems to be connected fine

mitman2501 23 January 2012 04:10 PM

 Thinkning about it if the Earth wasnt on right you wouldnt have any power :brickwall You need to check and see if you have any spark from your plugs you will need 2 people for this job

Take one leed off at a time place a plug at one end leaveing the other side connected to the unit place it clost to somethink metal (your trying to get it to conducted) turn the car over and see if there is a spark do this with all four but be careful

If you have spark on all 4 then its fuel issue or alarm/immobiliser :thumb:

ray_21089 23 January 2012 04:22 PM
