how to turn off boost?

just fitted a vf28 turbo, fingers crossed got re-map this saturday, got a couple of hours journey to take it on tho dont want toi damage it on the way.
how can i turn off the boost, or take it to a minimum? some one mentioned doing something with the t-piece between wastegate and actuator, puttiing a straight piece in but that would leave 1 pipe left over, which one and what happens to it after?
any ideas outy there?

Have you got a boost gauge? If so, just make sure it don't go past 0 bar i.e. by basically driving normally and not 'chasing' the throttle.

Just keep the pedal well off the floor. Revs are not so important.
Or you can disconnect the wastegate by removing the circlip that connects the actuator rod. This will leave the wastegate open and keep any boost pretty low even on the redline.
Do not drop the circlip!

just connect compressor outlet pressure nipple directly to wastegate actuator. this will run actuator boost pressure and be safe.

That works brilliantly BTW. :thumb:

I had my rod come adrift due to the retaining R-clip failing. **** myself, as I thought I'd ****ed the engine. :lol1:
