How to feed through wideband sensor into area of ecu?

Hi all,

I've just bought the innovate gauge setup with 02 sensor, I wonder how others have wired it up from the point of view of cable run from sensor into cabin? I'm getting simtek ecu modified so it will read the outputs from the gauge (wideband) so I need the cable run to come in around the passenger side. I cannot feed any more cables through the bulkhead area just below the downpipe as it;s full of other cables and pipework for WI, etc.:wonder:

Feed it in through the passenger side grommet behind the glove box.

Oh right, do you need to remove the glove box for access? Mint, thanks

Not really.

When I did my Defis, I made a small "X" incision in the centre of that grommet, and pushed a stiff piece of wire through from the car side. I then attached the Defi leads to it, MAKING SURE TO OVERWRAP ANY CONNECTORS to avoid straining them. The above was with electrician's tape.

I then located the end of the wire and pulled them through. Easy.

Okay great.

Strange, just checked under glove box and there's big black plastic device which looks like a part of the air con setup....only bits of the bulk head can see dont have any grommets...are we talking same model? 2002 mine is.

It's very high up, sort of behind the glovebox, and you can only really feel it rather than see it from in the car. But if you look in engine bay in that general area you'll see a thick, wrapped, bundle of wires running from engine wiring through to the ecu - it goes through the big rubber grommet that's being described here :)

Oh I know the item you mean, is it safe to cut above the wires?
