50k service - where?

Picked up '56 WRX Hawk Wagon on Monday with 48k.

I'm in Bridgend but don't mind travelling a bit.

Overdue a service (only by a couple of months) but it's the 50k service which involves a cambelt I do believe.

So where do you boys go/trust?

Not concerned about main dealers etc. as its been serviced mainly by independents. In fact the book is a bit of a mess, and not very detailed receipts.

Any opinions/suggestions welcome :thumb:

Hi, you could try David Coe in Swansea, he's a bit of a subaru
specialist. Don't know what sort of price he will charge:(

There will be plenty of people along shortly with opinions on David Coe, so I will leave that to them. :wonder:

Well worth considering are Keith Prices Garages in Abergavenny, Ace Motorsport in Newbridge or Three Arches (I think it is anyway) in Cardiff, where some of the ex CVC staff are now working. :)

Ok thanks. Cardiff obviously closest for me so I'll give Three Arches a bell.

Phoned them up, spoke to a couple of peeps and all seems good. £365 inc cambelt all in seems reasonable so booked it in for next week with a courtesy car. Hmm going to have to give the credit card a bashing :(

The Three Arches lads are Dean and Dan, ex-CVC Subaru guys and very good.
