The mother in laws car......
Mother in law has a Peugeot 406 3.0V6 Coupe.
Basically when the weather is good it starts fine, first turn of the key and it's running. However, when the temp drops (as it has this week) its a non starter. Just clicks as you attemp to fire it. Thinking either crappy battery or faulty starter. Any thoughts chaps ? Thanks, Matt. |
Battery, the cold drawing the life from it.

Thanks guys..
It only had a new battery on it about 18 months ago but was a cheapy if I remember correctly. I'll get her a heavy duty one today. |
Just rang my parts man and he's got one in.
He said its got 66AH and 560 cold starting amps. Does that sound about right for a big engine car like the coupe ?? |
You are overlooking the major mechanical flaw that is present in the vehicle...........
Its French!!:p:p |
^^^^^^
Yep, and what makes it worse is the fact I sold her the car, lol. Well been and got a heavy duty battery. 77AH and 740 cold start A. £85 so we shall see what happens. |
