Bit of advise please

Well my Scooby went for her mot today, straight through with no advisories :D
Was nice to get it straight through as i have only had the car just over a week and you never know if there are any nasty surprises lurking

Anyway the car i have is a 1998 2.0 turbo wagon. I am wanting to fit a HKS SSQV blow off valve.. Would anyone know if this would fit and has anyone had any experience fitting them?

Thanks in advance

That looks awesome mate. I have sent the ebay seller a message to just see if it does come with the kit to fit it. Can i ask, did you fit yours? if so was it an easy job to do?

thanks for your help

john

I fitted mine. And took it off again myself. It's quite an easy job to fit, nothing too complicated or fiddly and all fairly obvious even with the dodgy instructions I had. :D

its a simple job to fit but you will need the fitting adaptor plate to get it to fit the intercooler correctly.
heres a pic of it fitted on mine.
the adaptor also angles the bov up slightly to fit correct.

Not if you've got the standard intercooler on still. That fits a new age cooler, you'll need a different kit for for the MY98 cooler.

tubbytommy 16 January 2012 08:50 PM

sorry i thought you had a newage wrx.
you need the classic version then.

Incidentally, the one in this link looks like a fake to me. It's far too cheap for a start. Clicky. If you're going to buy one I'd stick to buying from an authorised dealer, you'll also get the correct fitting kit with it that way too.

Considering Scoobyworld sell them at £280 this one looks a little suspect!

I have opted to buy this one and collect in the morning. Should be fitted by dinner time then :D

Wonders will never cease...

A VTA DV question thread, and not one piss-taking comment.

The SN Massive, I applaud you. :luxhello:

ilogikal1 20 January 2012 06:49 PM

I was feeling helpful that day. :D
