the crank sensor should fit nice and tight in the hole it sites in, are you sure you have the correct sensor in there ?

no i dont think it is the right sensor as the engine came with no sensors and my mates got 3 engines spare so took a chance on one of them and its obviously 2 small

sorry to hear about your car bud hope it works out for you will have to keep me updated

ill have a look for your thread now

The crank sensor is a loose fit in the top of the oil pump tbh Dan - have you got any fault codes stored in the ECU ??

i did do a code reader test if its the same thing and loads popped up but i cleared them all and the engine management light has stayed off while trying to turn it over but my dad who has been a mechanic for cars has said its that crank sensor

or was this an excuse due to him travelling 80 miles to do it and then wanting to go home lol

Bit of a long shot, or all the plugs in the correct place eg: injector plugs, or plug leads?

scoobydan1985 15 January 2012 07:44 PM

ye i think they are lol if im right by saying does the white leads for the spark plugs go at the front and the black at the back

only thing that confused me to be honest

cheers for help

What coil pack set up do you have, is it separate coil pack with leads or individual coil packs? I've you have leads and coil pack, the back two cylinders go to the rear two points on the coil, the front two go to the front of the coil, if it's on individual coils I'm not sure of the set up! Hope this helps wiggy1

I dont know who told you that. But its rubbish. I know that doesnt help your problem.

You need to check you have fuel and spark

scoobydan1985 16 January 2012 06:32 PM

No sorry lol my spark plug leads are on my wiring loom which they believe to be a Prodrive wiring loom

wiggy1 18 January 2012 08:55 PM

now then fella, just thought id let you know mines up and running again, it turned out to be the wires to my cam sensor, id nipped them when i put the loom back on some how, could be worth a look if you havnt sorted yours yet, i got a nice garage bill mind you. cheers wiggy1
