So we now require nothing additional to fit this kit? apart from elbow grease lol

14N-FR 20 January 2012 03:53 PM

If your fitting it to a hawkeye I have found that the u-bend section of pipe work on the passengers side requires a bit of modification to get it to fit.

Apart from that, you have all you need to get it fitted. Mine only took about 1.5 hours start to finish.

Yes I had to completely gut the fog light brackets on my hawkeye.

I will be posting pics of it all tomorrow when it's had a clean. It's just back from Andy F literally 1 hour ago.

Scooby Dooney Doo 20 January 2012 10:24 PM

Anyone know if I would have to hack away at any of my bumper or fog lights on a 05 plate blob wrx to fit this kit, plus where does the recirc / BOV fit on to with this intercooler kit??

yes mate, you will have to cut the inside of your bumper and fog light surrounds and modify the fog light brackets if yiu want to keep your fog lights.

BOV sits on pipe just before throttle body:

I don't know how anyone could fit this in 1.5 hours tho
Allow yourself at the very least half a day.

Get the big turbo at the same time and we'll take the cars to get remapped together, after you've fitted my intercooler haha :thumb:

Well none in that photo :D
But i have an Apexi power intake but i'm waiting for a silicone elbow so it will fit.
I tried a K&N 57i but i couldn't get it in there without moving the ABS bits and the apexi is better anyway.

You may require a new dump valve as this kit requires a hose type fitting and is not on the flange type fitting.

Get your names on the list if you want to get involved!

geordiesi 23 January 2012 10:16 PM

would a forge dump valve fit with this kit at all ed?

Ed@Japspeed 24 January 2012 01:30 PM

So long as its a hose type fitting and not on the 2 bolt flange then yes.

Matthew_JDM 01 February 2012 11:32 AM

I'm contemplating adding my name to the list- would be better if there were already 9 people on there as we'd all get it for £229 lol.

chet123 01 February 2012 12:28 PM

Tempting - having already had a stage 1 done to my newage, what additional gains would I get from having a FMIC as opposed to a TMIC?

thanks all.

kevfawcett 01 February 2012 04:08 PM

Cooler inlet temps mate, and it looks better ;)
