Thanks Paul

Yeah I seen member mr noisy at japshow and he was very helpfull and showed me how he'd cut the bumper etc to fit his Japspeed intercooler

Will get some pics up on here once I've done it :)

MrNoisy 10 July 2013 07:26 AM

Good man, I have some photos of the install here:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/397045...dan-4d/page-3/

Might be a little bit helpful.
The trouble with the ones Paul sends out (no offence Paul) is that they're not necessarily matched to the product and there are some things which made me scratch my head a lot!

All I'll say is - when it comes to cutting your bumper, take your time and be prepared to cut small and offer up and repeat if you want a good snug fit rather than a big hacked up hole! :)

Good luck :)

Thanks alot mate

Just had a look at your write up on that link very nice by the way, subaru looks amazing! Congarts on the power aswell around about what im hoping for eventually :)

Noticed on one of the pictures the intercooler doesn't look like it quite sits central in the bumper grill! Is this how they all fit? And are there ways to get it back central? Didn't notice it on yours at japshow possible because of the mesh grill you had infront of the intercooler

Apologies if this is wrong place to be posting this...

No offence taken...:thumb:
The instructions are there as a guide and 90% of the time will guide you through what to do in order to fit the FMIC kit.

Its always handy getting some feedback from someone who has fitted one to there own car as its a different pair of eyes and a different method/way of doing things.

There are plenty of forum members with these fitted and pleased with their results like yourself. :thumb:

Ed@Japspeed 10 July 2013 05:37 PM

Sent plenty of these out to you guys again today!

Dont worry if you too are after one as we have now received our full delivery of these kits back into stock!

And as always we are offering these to you for £199.00 including a free 3 inch air filter!

Remember you can purchase these anytime of the day by sending across your paypal payment.

So whilst your having a brew with your feet up tonight... you can send your paypal payment over to sales@japspeed.co.uk with a note providing us with your:

Full Name
Shipping Address
Contact number
Email address ( This is important as this is how you will receive your invoice )

And a reminder of the product/products that you wish to order.

Once we receive your payment we will then process your order for next working day delivery.

If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact one of the sales team.

Regards
Paul

It's mainly because initially I did fit it off centre as the inter cooler core has two bolt holes, and I thought I needed to use both so drilled a few holes in the bumper bar to do that (its weird because the bumper bar had a square in it and the kit had a small metal strip with two bolt holes so I assumed it would use these but was wrong!!

However, having consulted some friends who had fitted one, I discovered people tend to use a single bolt on the bumper bar with a nut or two as a spacer to make it sit in the middle.

Re-fitted like this and then it went central.
Must be a decent product - made 439bhp with my SC42 :D
