Vortex Generator roof fins fitted

Hi all
Ive just fitted my Vortex Generator roof fins that i had bought for me from USA for xmas, i know its a bit of a Marmite topic but as we all know and appreciate we all entitled to our own opinions on our cars and i like the way it looks on mine :norty:
I went for individual fins as i personally dont like the moulded plastic version as i dont like the way it looks and how its fitted.
I didnt use the sticky pads you get with them so ive fitted mine with Sikaflex :thumb:

Looks good, for me youve gone the right way with them, since in that position they will actually be effective

Nice ;-)

Myles 08 January 2012 04:42 PM

Nice, I bet you had to do some accurate measurement to get them dead on, didnt you?

ScoobySteve69 08 January 2012 04:46 PM

Never seen individual ones before.

Wasn't too bad tbh mate, measured the centre first and then worked from that

Think it looks silly, like 7 BMW aerials on your roof.

Not for me.

bob r 11 January 2012 11:52 PM

Looks ok but I prefer the moulded version.

Hi mate
They are universal but if you look on EBay for Vortex generator fins Subaru you will find the set I got. They come from the USA but only take x1 week to come, use additional adhesive like Sikafkex or Tigerseal cos for how much wind resistance you will get I don't trust the sticky pads that come with it.
If you do get some let me know and I ll give you the measurements I used to space and fit them ,
Jase
