Problems with this site?

Keeps timing me out, "The connection was reset, etc."

What's causing this please?

Firefox/Google Chrome, Virgin 10MB broadband.

f1_fan 06 January 2012 10:55 AM

Yes, seeing the same thing here.

Blue by You 06 January 2012 01:18 PM

No probs here.

ScoobySteve69 06 January 2012 01:23 PM

I`ve had that for days. Very slow to post at times too.

alcazar 07 January 2012 12:49 PM

Any mods know anything? Or admin? Or anyone?

.....tumbleweed blows through......

birchy2010 07 January 2012 12:52 PM

I've had it the past few days, very slow in posting and returning search results.

ALi-B 07 January 2012 12:54 PM

Being a weekend I doubt anything will happen anytime soon.

But I've noted a few problems that may or may not be related and left a post in the mods section for reference, thats all I can do until a techy comes along and looks into it.

Note; I think its the email system on the fritz...this is why RTMs are hanging, but they do work, so don't keep hammering the submit bittom...as we'll keep getting them over and over LOL.

BUMP

jayallen 15 January 2012 10:37 AM

I was just about to report this, its been happening to me for a couple of weeks now, i thought it was my connection at home.

Its starting to get bloody annoying.....You've just taking time to write a post, click post reply and you get the connection reset screen, so you have to start all over!

Alcazar reports on the 6th and its now the 15th and still doing it...!

Kieran_Burns 15 January 2012 11:22 AM

If people can run firebug ( http://getfirebug.com/downloads ) and report back on the errors, it would go a long way to helping diagnose where things are going wrong.

alcazar 17 January 2012 01:49 PM

We all need to do this, guys, like we did for months last time, then IB can tell us they can't replicate it in the USA so it doesn't matter, sorry, so there's not anything they can do.

Goes off to download Firebug YET AGAIN.

alcazar 19 January 2012 11:57 PM

Still doing it, three times today, been doing it at least two weeks now, anything been done? Nope, didn't think so:rolleyes:

Exactly what do we take a screen shot of when it comes up as "the connection was reset"? That? Will that be useful? Or are we being bullsh1tted? Again?

This is beyond me.

Was at Loughborough Uni yesterday.
The technician I spoke to about Lasers said their stuff was American.
If they had a problem they rang up, and, after UK shutdown, THE AMERICANS CAME ON AND FIXED THE PROBLEM DURING THE NIGHT.

WHY can't IB do that, pray?

Answers on a postcard...........

ScoobySteve69 20 January 2012 02:26 AM

Awaits response :pchit: :lol1:

ScoobySteve69 20 January 2012 04:38 PM

This is getting fcuking stupid now. Is anyone actually aware of this problem and is there any chance of a reply????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????? I`m fed up reloading the poxy site!

f1_fan 20 January 2012 05:06 PM

You're wasting your breath I fear. I don't think anyone reads this part of the fourm any more.

ScoobySteve69 20 January 2012 07:59 PM

Me thinks youre right!

alcazar 21 January 2012 12:18 PM

So long as mugs and advertisers keep paying, IB are alright........Jack!

This web page is not available
The connection to bbs.scoobynet.com was interrupted.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
Check your Internet connection. Reboot any routers, modems or other network devices that you may be using.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted programme in your firewall or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted programme, try deleting it from the list of permitted programmes and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure that the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the spanner menu > Options > Under the Bonnet > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox.
Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset.

alcazar 21 January 2012 07:10 PM

Sickening isn't it.

And not ONE response from either IB, or the top guys on here since Kieran's "take screenshots".

IB are a joke.

Kieran_Burns 22 January 2012 10:57 AM

I have emailed the techie chaps - and I will chase again

f1_fan 22 January 2012 12:01 PM

Last time this was happening we were told it was a DNS issue. I am pretty sure that is not the case. I left a continous ping running to Scoobynet yesterday and at the times when I could not access the webpages the ping was uninterrupted.

I have and had the problem repeat but it's worth checking.

Kieran_Burns 23 January 2012 09:48 PM

I've had a reply back from the techs. I'll keep you up to date with any changes.
