What, As in traction control, Or 4wd as you dont have traction control, Its not an EVO you know:D

Or do you want to turn your 4wd into a 2wd :D

scoobydan1985 05 January 2012 08:07 PM

haha glad its not an evo there worse than scoobys

no basically i still want it to be a awd but be able to slide it about but at the moment it wont slide for nothing ...

my mates got an awd scooby and it slides everywhere but he didnt take the traction off the previous owner did

stevemoir 05 January 2012 08:24 PM

There's no traction control on scoobies as there awd

Your mate might of had dccd? You can chose whatmsettings you want

TonyBurns 05 January 2012 09:14 PM

Put really crap tyres on, you will slide everywhere (even into hedges and ditches :lol1: )

Tony:D

JonMc 05 January 2012 09:14 PM

As said already, you can't do anything to switch it off. If you want to slide around like you're on the rally stages you'll need either more power or crap, slippy tyres:wonder:

Faster entrance speed into corners should do it.

scoobydan1985 05 January 2012 09:22 PM

400 bhp should be enough to slide about i should imagine so will have to buy some crap tyres then

Saalro 05 January 2012 10:04 PM

There is no traction control on the AWD system, your friend must have budget tyres like me or have enough power to step it out, i have 214 BHP and i can't get the backend out with the poor quality tyres i have lol, sometimes in the wet i can get it to step out very slightly.
If you got DCCD you might be able to, i've never experienced this.

Thanks
Sam

CREWJ 05 January 2012 10:06 PM

Sounds like you're not going fast enough :D

sonic93 05 January 2012 10:17 PM

Not recommended on public roads but in a big wide open space:D When you have the power down but not on full boost start turning, plant your foot to get full boost whilst still turning, then let off the power, This will create whats called `lift off oversteer` and will get the back end out, Then plant your foot again and try to keep hold of it, Best tried on a damp surface :D

swaynie 05 January 2012 11:19 PM

:wonder:

On a I:facepalm:mpreza if you have dccd which allows you to control the torque from front to rear then you may be able to step out the rear and god only knows why you want to unless you want to impress some mc'd sl4g.

If you wanted a car to go sideways get a BMW E36 328i or a M3

this might help

Canit find the fail symbol lol

What have you done to your WRX to achieve 400bhp?

I'm considering running a 20G on my track car but thinking it will cause trouble in breakages at my level.....lol.

If you want to slide about also recommend 45psi tyre pressures ;) NIT recommended on the public roads though! If you can't go fast enough to get a 400bhp machine to step out then get some training in on an open track or something before risking accidents :)

LegacyAdam 06 January 2012 08:19 AM

I think you're missing the whole point in having a Subaru... They are designed to let you drive quickly, both in a straight line and around around corners, without sticking through a hedge backwards.

jinkus 06 January 2012 08:29 AM

Still laughing at reading this thread!!

It goes to show how many morons own Imprezas and why they have a stigma attached to them.

My advice would be to hit a corner as fast as you possibly can with the hope that you will write the car off and thus render another retard off the road.

Simples

CREWJ 06 January 2012 10:41 AM

Is this another finger in the wind 400bhp?
