When you bringing one over :D

wrx9181 04 January 2012 09:52 AM

Sounds great but wow 50/55k plus getting it here

paulbu 04 January 2012 10:24 AM

The cheap looking rear spoiler has the appearance of a Halfords 'off the shelf' add on, a bit like the RS Focus. Also £50k plus for 312/318 ?? They're having a laugh.

Terminator X 04 January 2012 01:06 PM

^^ That's why it isn't coming over here! Yen vs £ making it expensive ...

StanS 04 January 2012 06:23 PM

or for even better roadholding, braking and acceleration, at a fraction of the cost

Perhaps acceleration, but am not sure it will hold the road and brake better.:D
They have done some mad stuff with the suspension on the S206 and the brakes which are the same as my R205 stop just as quick if not quicker then the alcons you have. I have a set of alcons all around on my S204. :)

Terminator X 05 January 2012 01:12 PM

I love that S204 :luvlove:

I remember :D

The seats are amazing, but there beginning to piss me of a little. I have a back injury from my grappling days as a teenager and they seem to reignite the injury because am squished in.

You really need to have a 32 waist or below to fit in these seats.

STI Glenn 05 January 2012 04:34 PM

I am lucky then only have 32in waist ha ha

I was going to put up a picture I found of a beaten up, 15 year old rust bucket Astra with a spoiler identical to that for comparison but couldnt bring myself to litter my photobucket account with it.

You're having a laugh arn't you.... those M3's are proper track day tools.

legacywr 05 January 2012 08:59 PM

They mentioned 2 reasons why they wont be exporting it, but there is a 3rd reason... they don't want you to have it!

... and, I'll swap seats with you Immy! :)

JonMc 05 January 2012 09:02 PM

Looks impressive, except for the power figures, I'm sure they could squeeze more than that out of it:norty:

But its a road car. The spoilers ok on a car like that when driven round a track but on the road what exactly are you saying about yourself? It looks rubbish.

It's a "Road Legal" car.... there is a vast difference between that and a "Road Car".

It's no different to a Porsche GT3.

People who predominantly buy these types of cars don't use them with the intention of going down to the shops to buy a carton of milk.

That's what I'm saying. ;)

A lot of people spend serrious money building their cars for their love of track days. This has been done by BMW so track day,s can be enjoyed staight away. Yes it,s very expensive and i for one would rather buy a GT3RS over it any day.
As for the S206 yes subaru could of given it more power but look how it sold out straight away, compared to the high powered CS400 that nobody wants..
