Roll centre and bump steer kits - what's the best kit?

I have seen the white line kit which seems to be one kit for both issues, but other makes seem to sell separate roll centre and bump steer kits eg see the response on the hardrace kit.

Just wondering what peoples experiences are with these.

Car is a 98 poly bushed with up rated rear arb (22mm) and (currently) running bc coilovers although these may get changed.

Car is used on road, but also for hill climbs and track days, and if I'm honest would rather have it perfect for the hill, and tolerate any issues on road.

I wouldn't bother with the WL bump steer kit. For a start, the Impreza can cope with quite a bit of bump steer, and second the WL extended track rod ends make for even more bump steer!

The better (and quite alot more expensive way to reduce BS is to shim the steering rack down

The extended ball joints from WL (RC Correction) are a worthwhile addition

I have been looking at the white line kca 313 kit- is that the one you mean?

Is shimming a standard process, as in you can buy the kit, or is it done by eye? I'm in jersey so travel is an issue.

I really need this car to handle as best it can, as desperate to get the record back! A few tweaks like these, softer tyres, and larger gonads are the answer so your help is appreciated lol

Yes, the 313

The rack shimming is something Powerstation and a few others favour. I don't know the exact process involved

My opinion (having ran two - new age and classic) is the bump steer mod is a dubious one as far as any kind of gain is concerned, a shot of testosterone to inflate the gonads may well go a lot further :thumb: and good luck for the record :)

i had the kca 313 on my list but maybe it's best to just by extended ball joints like the hardrace

Appreciated Bonesetter- am I right in saying you do rate the KCA 313?

I have a feeling that people just add bump steer to its title..

Last time I drove on energy drink, I crashed as was a bit too flat out, so a small shot of testosterone only I think :)
