Question about vodafone sim Card
I'd ring but I wouldn't trust Derek in India giving me the correct info.
My wife has a pay monthly tariff on her desire hd, I'm upgrading to the i4s. So I'm forcing on her my iPhone 4 , can I just cut the sim and from her DHD and put it in and use her inclusive Internet with the i4? Or is there special iPhone tariff that she'll have to go on? |
ring vodafone and they'll send you a free micro sim. I'm getting a 4s for chrimbo to replace my nexus s, i gave vodafone a tinkle and a few days later it arrived. no changes to the tariff, either.

Thanks I'll give them a call this evening

To answer the question, yes you can cut it down and it works fine.
Obviously easier to call and get a micro-sim ... Steve |
Ant I had this mate, had a standard sim card originally from a htc desire, been in a few other handsets but anyway, I'm on a normal Vodafone contract and I now use an iPhone 4 with no issues, no special tariff needed.
Only thing I would say is I tried cutting my sim card to fit and broke it to be polite, ended up going to the Vodafone store and showing them what happened and they gave me a micro sim for free, job sorted now |
I've done the same this week - upgraded to iphone 4 - phoned vodafone and a micro-sim was sent out in 2 days
I had to phone them yesterday to activate the micro-sim . Suddenly the old phone lost it's signal - and about an hour later the iphone was on :) |
You can also activate a Vodafone sim online in your 'MyAccount'. One thing to note, if you aren't on an iPhone tariff is, that you won't have the facility to tether unless you phone and sweet talk them in to activating it on your existing data package. They will probably then try to tell you it'll cost you extra every time you access it regardless of your internet allowance. Again up the sweet talking and there will be no charge.
