ARP L19 Studs VS Cosworth Ultra High Tensile Studs - 11mm 260,000

Hi All,

Are both these just as good as each other? they are rated to the same and the ARPs seem to be a lil cheaper from what i can see?

ARP £310 (if i get stung £60 tax from states) and Cossie £345 from Lateral

Anyone used both or had experience of them to talk from experience?

Cheers

Eddy

If they are both 11.00mm and have the same tensile strength they should be essentailly the same, just a differn't brand, I wonder who makes the Cosworth ones? A few years ago Cosworth headgaskets were actually made by Cometic!!

A1 technologies

Im using the cossie UHT's ... theyre good!

They were out of stock pretty much everywhere when i went to buy them though so availability could be the deciding factor for you.

They are both the same strength. But ive just seen this quote on 22b forum

They are quite different in dimensions... The ARP stud has a smallest diameter of 9.3 mm, where the Cosworth stud is almost 1 mm bigger diameter. Which gives quite a big increase in the maximum clamping force. (about 15% more!) As far as I know is the Cosworth stud being manufactured by A1 Technologies.

Mark.
Can anyone confirm this? take it cossie will be the better ones to go for in that case? or not really a big issue which ones you use?

Also heard the cossie ones are made from tool steel so are brittle compared?
