lost my key fob wot can i do???help
 

hi, my key fob must have come off my keyring yesterday and now i cant find it, i have a keypad in glove box but i dont have a code? any help? cheers

You should have two :wonder:.

If you have the book pack that you get with the car then you should have a supplement in there for the alarm/security system. There should be a sticker on there giving you the alarm code to enter on the keypad.

I'm assuming you have a UK supplied newage Impreza.

hi, its a uk 2000 model. only had 1 key fob and 2 keys. nothing in the books.

Previous owner probably lost one and did not stump up for another. If it had come with only one I would not have bought it. As Ty said it should all be in your docs.

hi, thanks for that. there is nothing in the books. dont supose it would be on logbook? just have to phone dealers on monday to see if i can get the code or if i by a key fob of ebay can they program it to the car. cheers

You really wouldn't of bought the car if it only had one fob? My saxo's imobiliser key came as a penlid :lol1:

Can't see why not. Main dealers should be able to do it. Won't be cheap though, bassets charged me about £70 to do the key on one of my works vans last year if I remember correctly.

The dealer that used to be in Cardiff charged me £28.I had to fax them my logbook and 2 utility bills for ID purposes.

ok. thanks. just bought the car a week ago so waiting for the full logbook to come through. going to have a look again were i had been when i had it last. totaly gutted
