hi all

found this roll cage that gose around the dash and lets you keep the rear seats,was about to order it found out the p&p £300+ :cry:wondering is there is a uk dealer who can supply this, any help welcomed :notworthy

Don't get the dash dodgers - the front legs will be weakened by the bends, and the front legs are probably one of the more important parts of the cage.

Also, rear seats and roll cages don't mix. Even if you could keep the seats, anyone sitting in them would be put at massive additional risk by the roll cage in case of an accident. Nice things like head injuries from the tubes etc.

Btw, roll cages are an absolute pain in the ass for daily drivers (and even weekend only ones)! I've got a full cage, and it:

a) makes you look like a pillock when driving along with harnesses on and a cage showing
b) it takes forever to put the harnesses on compared to normal seat belts
c) you can not move at all with the harnesses on. Forget adjusting the air con or getting something out of the glove box whilst driving
d) you have to open the doors fully to get out, because you can't slide out like you do with a normal car

In short, it's not worth it unless you do almost exclusively track work.

thanks henrik, the car will be used only odd weekends and mostly on the track , i do understand the safty and the hastle, i personly thinks it looks good in the car, thats only my viwe:thumb:
