Exporting a car

Hey there,

First, let me tell you something about myself. My name is Alec, I'm from Ljubljana, Slovenia (EU) and I'm a huge Impreza fan. Have owned 4, all of them were year 1996-1999. And since there are only 3 or 4 GT imprezas in Slovenia, all my previous ones were improted from Italy or Germany.

Now (for about 3 months) I have been thinking about going to the UK and buy one in the UK :luxhello:.
So the problem is:
I'd like to go to UK and PERSONALY take the car back to Slovenia, but I don't know and I couldn't have figured out what papers do I need to arrange and how much would it cost me (approximately). I have been reading something about it on DVLA but I don't quite understand it.

So if any of you guys has had any experience with it or knows the solution to my problem, please let me know.

Regards, Alec;)

I would think you need to speak to the Slovenian customs.

I have and they know nothing about it.
When I exported a car from Germany, I had to pay for the insurance and export plates and that was it, I drove my car home.
So what about UK
