Engine swap
 
Hi I have a turbo 2000 on a w reg uk will the engine fit in an x reg bug eye jap import straight swap or will there be faffing about to do cheers.

It should fit but why are you putting an older engine into a newer car. The new age models have stronger internals etc.

Sweet. The only thing I have my classic to break as its not economical to repair so saves me some cash by transplanting the engine. Unless I can get a cheap low miles one??

Don't forget the jap bug ECU will be expecting AVCS and TGV's to be present if you transplant the whole engine......or are you swapping the short engine only ?

Forgot those but yeah a remap as well but thats obvious.

Ok cool was going to transplant the whole thing but it's going to be easier to buy a like for like lump makes life easier then just break my classic to recoupe the spent dollar I think. Now time to find me an engine lol
