Swapz false advert

A guy on Swapz has stolen/copied pics off my garage here to try and sell items

http://www.swapz.co.uk/swapz/2199092..._awsome_build/

This is not me, nor is my car for sale.

I have reported the advert and sent him a message but I suspect nothing will happen about it..

Please dont assume it is me selling the items.

Simon

T25 DOC 20 November 2011 08:13 PM

Why does this feel like certain users off of a 'servicing' thread messing around here?!?!

MattyB1983 20 November 2011 08:14 PM

Sonic came very close to getting scammed off this fooking loser.

peter zippy reid 20 November 2011 08:16 PM

Mattybr5@MB Developments 20 November 2011 09:19 PM

what a idiot choosing such a well known car to advertise his dodgy parts is there not a way to report that post simon and keep your name out the dirt if anything comes of this??

Jolly Green Monster 20 November 2011 09:25 PM

It has been reported.. not sure how long it will take them to respond though.

The car has sort of transformed most of the bits from it are in my new one

tubbytommy 20 November 2011 09:29 PM

maybe i missed something but it appears the seller is trying to swap the complete car, what is he trying to achieve as he doesnt even have the car.
and swapping for a range rover sounds familiar maybe an 80k one

MicaDan 20 November 2011 09:34 PM

I'm 95% sure I've seen the "swapz" username "Scoobyworld2009" being used to sell the plough!

Yes, I'm pretty much certain.

sonicvr6 20 November 2011 10:14 PM

so was just a set up then

nizmo80 21 November 2011 01:41 AM

small idea here fella's

we could all start firing messages to Scoobyworld2009 on swapz
from everthing from profanity's to just pretending we are interested
in swaping and ask to meet him miles away from where he is and put him on a wild goose chase.

in short lets start to spam the b@stard!!! lol

people like that are just trying to rip people off and they deserve to be messed with.

if i was you i would report it to the police aswell because the guy could be just
using the advert so people will meet up with him so he can rip them off or mug them?
why else would he put up an advert like that?

Jolly Green Monster 21 November 2011 07:42 AM

Fair play to swapz who have removed the ad fairly quick in response to my email.

If it is who I think it is, there's likely to be a lot more than two accounts judging by past actvities!

sonicvr6 21 November 2011 09:51 AM

nickmoses 21 November 2011 10:42 AM

Its a shame there are ppl like this on these sites, i got my classic wagon on swapz for the mini cooper i had. The person i 'swapped' it for was really nice chap, really down to earth and had paperwork dating back nearly 10 years to do with the car!!
But then again i had nothing to loose as he was only 15 miles away from Bristol, i can see alot of ppl getting scammed by driving miles to see a car that looks nothing like the one in the advert or even worse getting car jacked in teh middle of no where!
