Sweet FA as mine's not listed, but a P1 of a similar age is £3,500! What a joke.

andy-m 15 November 2011 03:25 PM

it does say trade-in price. hold ur mouse over the question mark next to the value n it says its what you would get from a dealer. you would no doubt get more for a private sale.

BLU 15 November 2011 03:30 PM

£800- £860 :(

monkfish2 15 November 2011 03:46 PM

Reckon they're about blob on. Ha ha.

Masswithclass 15 November 2011 04:09 PM

This is trade in price, and you are very lucky to get "book" for your car, we dont really use CAP much at my place, we stick with Glasses most of the time.

spungejonny 15 November 2011 04:15 PM

One problem with that and many sites that use reg numbers for prices.. they don't recognise the difference between the WRX & Sti.

I reckon I should get about double the £3300-£3650 it said for mine.

Pramas 15 November 2011 07:14 PM

if the dealer only offered me £6350 for a 06 hawk sti i know what i would be saying :hjtwofing

Chris1978 15 November 2011 10:02 PM

Mine apparently doesn't exist . . .

lordharding 15 November 2011 10:11 PM

Where do they get their database
My greenwagon is registered as a rover 216gsi which I sold 11 years ago !
One of my number plates on retention is registered to my old rover tourer which was scrapped 7years ago but is worth £140-£199

They got my wrxd correct though and I'm not selling at that price !

Norman Dog 16 November 2011 07:13 AM

£3,150 -£3,350 for mine, was offered £4k part ex around summer time so probably about right.

This might be a little off topic but I have just been offered £5500 on a part exchange for a £20000 merc. Mine is a 2006 spec d (sti)

Grime.

DJ_Jon 16 November 2011 08:08 AM

markb_s1 16 November 2011 09:50 AM

£440 LOL!

Coffin Dodger 16 November 2011 12:09 PM

£400 - £430 :thumb:

CREWJ 16 November 2011 12:58 PM

£740 - £790 :lol1:

To be honest if it was a shed (which they are quoting for) then that price is about accurate. As it stands I'd get closer to triple that.

monkfish2 16 November 2011 04:32 PM

£4,050 - £4,300 for a 2005 WRX. Not far off, worth more to me though as I've owned it since new and has mods done.

SRSport 16 November 2011 05:17 PM

Its given me £3800-£4010 for my 56 Hawkeye.

Dealer has just given me £5000 part ex.

well mine is a 2004 WR1, and it said 4375!!! I can tell you for a fact, it wouldn't go for less than £10k!!

obviously always better off selling specialist cars private, rather than trading in

You're always better selling a scooby private, it's still not easy finding a buyer though as there are that many for sale, and usually way over priced for the current market. :thumb:

SRSport 17 November 2011 08:04 AM

That should make it easier to sell then if everyone around you is overpricing. As long as you're not greedy you should get your price.

...£4375 for a WR1 though is daft.

bottlesofbecks 17 November 2011 09:03 AM

If memory serves me well CAP is current auction price, I used it as a quick way to find out real time prices at auction in conjunction with glasses, if you where giving a trade in value you would get an idea of the worst ammount you could hope to recoup if it was not something you wanted to prep and put on the pitch to retail

S3LDM 17 November 2011 08:57 PM

My 2007 White STI hawkeye PPP 35k £4600 to £4800 You got to be kidding me..!! F****ING give it a way first...!!!

scixer6r 17 November 2011 09:30 PM

Im not going to sleep tonight as my RB320 only gets 9k valuation.:cuckoo:

ukimpreza 17 November 2011 11:27 PM

390 - 460
oh well pointless selling so a good excuse to keep her :luxhello:

SRSport 18 November 2011 08:01 AM

For Hawkeyes its only going to get worse with the ludicrous road tax people have to pay.

My Brother in law bought a highest tax band Jag X type for £5000 and now wants to sell it. Fat chance, he's pretty much stuck with it as no one is wanting to pay 10+% of its value each year for tax.
