Bugeye alloys clearing brembo brakes

Hi all
Am i right in thinking that some sti bugeye wheels cleared brembo brakes.
Ive put some bugeye wheels on my classic ready to upgrade my brakes to brembo and have seen a few posts saying that they wont clear brembos:wonder:

WRX bug alloys do not clear Brembos.....Bug STi alloys do :)

The WRX alloys have parallel spokes and smooth rims, the STi Jobbies have slightly divergernt spokes and dimples in the rims which are a total pain to keep clean..... These are the STi's

And these are the WRX

Thx Guys
I got the wrong ones then.
Its strange but my subaru Autoart collection the sti estate has bugeye wheels with brembos underneath, but the saloon has the ones with the knoble bits.
Now i know there only models but seems strange, maybe they did do some with diffrent offset.
Anyway heres a couple of pics.

He may have used spacers at the front? Ask Ian Godney or Alyn at AS Performance for advice.

Just to be pedantic, the WRX alloys as in pic 1 above, DO clear rear Brembos with the STi discs, but need Ian's fitting kit to fit the calipers and allow the handbrake to work.

I have those on my classic, plus Godspeed's front Brembos, which are slightly smaller than STi Brembos, and clear with no probs. I don't think Ian does those any more though:(

AFAIK the bug STi wagons left the factory with STi alloys :)

Nope !

bugeye STI wagon has 4 pots and WRX alloys and unflared arches as std.

P.S. Model has the right wheels but the wrong brakes...

Thx guys that cleared that up
So if i was keep the bugeye wheels but dont want to put normal subaru 4 pot and 2 pot brakes on, what would be the next best thing.
maybe a message to Ian as to what my options are:thumb:
Or should i just get some subaru 4 pots and 2 pots:idea:

I learn something new every day, you are right, just checked some bug brochures and the STi came with gold WRX wheels and 4 pots :)

Bad hatharry, plenty of STi wheels come up on here, or buy some 18's that fit over brembo's Rota GRA's for example :D

AP or K Sports are much more compact, but I've never tried to fit a WRX alloy over them... Will ask "KojaK" to lend me one.
