I just ordered a set of these in black, fitted them at the weekend and i am impressed with the quality and finish, not crap anodised stuff, the black looks hard wearing plus they are steel. Great customer service from rarerims too

i thought they would be ok as they are steel and arnt going to crack like cheap alloy

i hope so :lol1: havent driven it yet though !! if you over tighten even slightly the thread gets damaged , they are very soft !!

You got steel ones or aluminium? Heard stories of the aluminium ones cracking but thought the steel ones were fairly robust

colebags 31 October 2011 08:45 PM

might leave them then as im like a bull in a china shop when it comes to wheel nuts

initialD 31 October 2011 09:02 PM

aparently they forged steel ??

Alloy ones will stay on your studs....but repetitive taking off and on, off, on.....damages the threads quickly in the soft alloy.

steel chromed is the way to go by looks of it then being a much harder finish should stay shiny

a pound each !! wouldnt expect too much but let us know .

arrived today, there is the odd impefection in the chrome finish but only under close scrutiny and the finish itself looks tough enough so as good as can be expected for £20
main issue for me is although they look similar to the ones they're replacing, right length and seat angle, they are a bit slim and need a 17mm spanner my wheel spanner is 19mm, they were "buy it now" though so can always send them back if i can't find a very cheap spanner, it never ends lol
