clutch problem help

before i replaced my clutch i was having a problem with the clutch pedal returning to the top,it use to get stuck half way and i use to have to put my foot under the peddle and coax it back up,i have just replaced my clutch with a exedy as last clutch was slipping and have still got the same problem and am having troubl getting gears, when i do get gears the peddle bites litreally as soon as you bring the peddle up from the floor.ive bleed the slave cylinder and still no differance, any ideas at what could be at fault...

you still have air in the system mate, take the slave cylinder off and you will have to use a gee clamp and a bold to hold the piston in the slave cylinder and then you can bleed it,some models have more than one bleed nipple, trace the pipe back to the master cylinder and look for a another bleed nipple.they can be a swine to bleed the air out,but thats your problem with your car mate.hope this helps :)

thing is why is peddle not returning to the top,it wasnt returning to the top before i had new clutch fitted but now i have the added problem of hard to select gears..as when i had old clutch in the car even thou it was slipping,i could get the gears no problem but still had the problem with peddle sticking half way and wat is the idea of using a g clamp on end of slave cylinder

was the release bearing replaced??
also make sure the clutch is not dragging if the peddle is not returning to the top as this will wear the clutch out in no time.
