Clutch fork popped out.
I wasn't 100% sure my clutch fork was properly seated after some engine work a couple of months ago, and sure enough the little blighter has popped out, so the peddle has gone to the floor and the clutch won't engage.
Does anyone know if I can reseat the fork into the release bearing without taking the engine out? (manipulate through the hole for the starter for example)? Or will I have to separate the box from the block again to rotate the bearing to re-insert the fork? Thanks folks. ** Edit. Sorry, it's a 1995 WRX... |
Sure there is no leak from the hydraulic slave??
|
ouch, if it is the fork dude its box off im affraid,. those 2 little hooks are gits for bending and letting go lol,.
|
Nope, no leak Jimbob, I can see the fork under the intercooler and it's definitely in the wrong place... Also, the piston from the slave is extended a long way.
addi monster, thanks. I was afraid of that. I had to rotate the crank re-installing the motor to close the gap between the block and gearbox, the fork must have come out then. God only knows how it lasted for 2 months... Oh well, engine out again. Gah. |
Ok engine out.
Seem that the release bearing has disintegrated. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement without buying a whole clutch kit (as the clutch is fine)? Thanks! |
import car parts might have one
