FITTING A STI ENGINE IN A WRX

aup!!
ive just bought a 1995 jap import wrx with engine failure,
after looking around for another wrx engine ive decided to buy a low millage 1995 555 sti lump,
my car already had a td05 fitted with a fmic and a z4 ecu, and decat
so my question is---will the new engine be ok to just drop in and use? or would i be better buying a sti ecu?

many thanks danny :thumb:

Use your WRX manifold so you dont need to change the loom and you can use you own ECU, and use the STI long engine, just attach your inlet manifold to it job done.

Your manifold and loom etc are identical so you can just drop it straight in :)
