cold air in cabin when just tick over
 

hi all i have a 1998 impreza turbo with no mods at the min? The problem i have is very strange.. When i start the car in the morning its fine,,starts first time.BUT my heaters have start to get hot very quickly in the cabin i have notice.. I have always got hot blowers when driving?? untill l stop to let it cool down,, The blowers will start to go cold and temp gauge will start to rise above half way? untill i add a bit of trottle again and it comes back down??? very strange. I did lose a bit of water last week on my way to work though my expansion bottle? but l top back up and now this..I have checked for air lock and top back up but no good still.. please does anyone what it could be thanks

Could possibly be an air lock or leak or at worst a headgasket - best get it checked and keep an eye on coolant level

Waterpump?

thats what alot of people have said ( waterpump) or thermostat. But surely the pump is working other wise it would overheat straight away? no

my moneys on the thermostat,easiest and cheapest option ,id start there first Matt,
is the bottom hose cold when the engines up to temp??

bottom hose is hot when up to temp
