Antiroll bar bushes for 2006 Spec C?

Hello Scoobynetters,

I just had my 2006 Spec C (Litchfield Type 20) MoT'd. It passed. However, my friendly garage owner said that the rear anti-roll bar bushes are on the way out. He mentioned that there were better ones available than the standard rubber ones.

Anybody got any thoughts as to what brand to buy (if not Subaru) and where to buy 'em?

Finally, he mentioned that the emissions were a bit high. It has a Milltek with sports cat and they seems to be ok. Any thoughts of typical causes? It has full service history and has been well looked aftre. O2 sensor is one option I suppose. Anything else?

cheers for any thoughts,

Andy

Powerflex seem to have a good rep for poly bushes. I think that there may be an increase in NVH when using them tho so might be something to bear in mind.

Can you post the emission results from your MOT, easier to see whats going on with some numbers.

What's NVH? :)

No emissions figures as it passed, although it's worth noting I get on well with the garage owner! ;)

type 20 should have whiteline anti rollbars so you need to get the size to suit your rollbar dia.

NVH = noise vibration harshness

The Whiteline ones shouldn't perish. Are you sure it's a full Type 20?

Have a Type 20 myself mot'd this week. Tester said the same about emissions only just passed. Would have been better if I'd given it a thrashing first and got it nice and hot.

It's certainly a Type 20, I called Ian at Litcchfields to confirm when I bought it!

So I really need Whiteline bushes??
