Spark plugs for pretty standard Impreza?

I've got a MY99 UK Turbo wagon which I'll be servicing with a useful mechanic friend next weekend. Got oils/filters etc. but not got spark plugs as of yet.

Which one's are recommended for a pretty much standard classic wagon? Only modification is a Cobra Sport race tube catback exhaust system. Standard recirc valve etc and run on Tesco 99 :thumb:

Thanks,

Andy :)

Ah, just found an NGK part finder. For a standard oe replacement it's coming up with PFR6B?

If so, I'd have thought eBay may be a good place to source them (from a respected seller obviously). :)

Opie oils usually have decent deals.

Found them here for £20.40 delivered which seems well priced.

Think I'll plum for these as I haven't any immediate plans for modification so looking mainly for OEM parts. Got some lovely Millers oil for the engine and gearbox, genuine Subaru oil filter and good coolant so these plugs should go well in there.

Thanks.

yeah go for the NGK PFR6B - even though they come pre-gapped - recheck and set to 0.65

0.65 you say? Not the stated 0.8?

Can I ask why mate as I'll get some feeler gauges from work and re-gap if necessary. Better ignition or something at a guess? :thumb:
