Anyone had any experiences, good or bad buying a car from the above car supermarket?

Thinking of getting a Yaris T Sport and at £9,999, you can't complain. My local dealer will come down to just £11,000. He says they make just less than £700 on the car but Toyota give them extra commmission when they sell say 10 cars, 20 cars etc so they can go down a little bit more but not by much.

Who dictates the prices to the dealers, Toyota? Government restrictions, taxes etc?

If these car supermarkets are okay, ie same warranties at your local dealers etc, then unless Toyota and other manufacturers bring the cars down in line with the european imports, how can dealers be expected to compete?

I bought a Focus 2.0 ESP from them a year or so ago.... Brilliant service, good price, top motor for the money.

I'd recomend them anytime... shame they dont do STi's !!!

I've managed to get the T Sport at an even better price. £9133.80!!!

This is from www.thecarimportagency.co.uk

Does anyone have any experience of them?

I know there is a 16 week wait but I am in no rush!

Thoughts?

Mate got one from Trade Sales in Slough for 9999. Wicked car and no probs at all, these big places seem ok.

Bought Alfa 156 s/wagon from Trade Sales - very similar operation to Motorpoint. We've had no problems, but check that the car has all the 'bits' it needs - e.g. English manuals, two keys, master key if appropriate, security codes, service book with dealer's stamp in it...etc etc. (Our car was sourced from Germany and had obviously been prepared with typical German efficiency !) Obviously the list varies from one make/model to another.
