don't forget those prices don't include VAT or the £80 transfer fee so you can add £110 on top

justin_watson 06 October 2011 02:17 PM

How much is the total after tax and registration though?

L&G.scooby 06 October 2011 02:29 PM

£250 all in and on car.

DonNedly 06 October 2011 02:29 PM

The ones they advertise as £146 are in fact £250 which is a whole £5 cheaper than buying direct from dvla.

GezP 06 October 2011 03:29 PM

BL08 is a good one. Buy from DVLA mate, I did, brill service and easy to sort out. You'll never get a private plate cheaper than £245/£250.

The price you see on DVLA is the price you pay, not these cheaper prices and then they whack loads of tax and reg costs

Trouble is you can't fit a plate that is newer than when your car was built. :(

Depends on how you look at it mate. My one is top notch - 5 characters and they are my family's first initials.

Not really fan of plates that has a million characters and spells "BO08S" etc

Granted the old style is better but you do have to sift though a lot
