I was going to chop in my mint P1 for an e46 M3 a few month ago! Then looked into parts and service for the M3 not cheap at all! So its an excuse to keep the P1 :D

i was scared of this too... but to be honest running the M3 has turned out to be cheaper then running the scooby i had before (or each of the 5 scoobs i had before), yep if you go dealer its a big cost for a service but its only due one around every 15,000miles, and not a thing has been needed in between, except tyres (which i get cheap off the net).

with the 5 scoobys i had, i went through 3 engine rebuilds, 2 gearboxes, numerous clutches and lots of other maintenance bits,
i must be mad to want another one! :) :)

need some cash too, so probably a classic (sti type ra preferably)
