MTB back seat transporting?
Anyone carry their bike on the back seat of their saloon (not wagon)?

I stick my Basso Road bike on the back seat of my bug saloon (seat covered with sleeping bag) with the wheels in the boot.
Does that help ? Shaun |

Does that help ? Shaun One of the reasons I keep looking for a (new age) wagon is to be able to fit my bike in the back, but wagon options are limited to WRX's. If I went saloon a world of opportunity would open up :D |
Can't you take the wheels off and zip it into a soft bike bag ?

Bike minus wheels in a bag you mean - 'spose so :)

Yea, I do. My specialised, and after a good had dirty ride to. Have to remove both wheels and they go in the boot. Use a old thick blanked to cover the rear seat first. Never had a problem.
