Fine Scratch
I have found a very fine line scratch down the side of my car which has no depth to it and assume it is in the lacquer what would you recommend short term / long term? It's a brand new car and in dark grey so is really annoying me. Tried some polish which has faded it slightly but would like to think there must be some slightly more aggressive polish that could take this out locally? Polish I normally use is Poorboy's. Thanks for any suggestions.

Are you doing it by hand?

I would like to try something by hand anything mechanical I would get someone else to do as I don't have the equipment and wouldn't trust myself to make it worse! What would you suggest?
|
What did you use and did you get it sorted?

if it is a light scratch in the clearcoat a machine polish with something like ultrafina would remove it no probs depending how deep it is

I have just used some autoglym paint restorer on some scratches some if which were quite deep and worked a treat. Only £8 and apply by hand. Car was aqua blue mettalic

AG super resin polish will probably mask it, or Auto Finesse triple is better.

The AF triple is supposed to be better but doesnt the Autoglym SR have better polishing ability so can correct and mask at the same time?
