Shpping list help for my blob

Hi guys.
I am in the process of buying bits and pieces for MY03STI. hopefully going for about 360 to 380 and I know it is going to take a few months to get it all together, what with Xmas. But want to get it right and not waist money. I am a newbie. Had car about a month. It has 3" full decat, green panel filter, EcuTec remap to 323 HP.
After more power now as it already has whirling arb, drop links and bushes all done, and lazer wheel alignment done.
Was thinking Sc 46 turbo,
Harvey poerted headers and matched up pipe,
Injectors, ( which I need help with as done know what to get for my power I would like to see)
3 port boost solenoid,
And of course a remap once all fitted.
I realise that I will be hitting close to max HP with TMIC so a FMIC is on the cards at a later date.
Hope I have cover all I need to for so sound advise from all you guys. Any thing you need to know for some sound advise please ask.
Thanks,
Lloyd.

bttt for help with injectors please.

360 to 380bhp is attainable on stock injectors but sc46 isn't a 360bhp turbo so you really need to decide what you want. A good 18g turbo and remap should put you in the ballpark you are aiming for.

Ok thanks, if that us the case might ad well go for a nice TD05 20g then.
And am I right in saying what I said about TMIC? Because this eBay no, 190580352764 seems to be running more than 450 on a TMIC???

Hi there

if you are looking above 380bhp i would invest money to 650cc injectors or get yours flowed here Mark@Lateral Performance

About the turbo,SC42 or SC46 will be good choice, good 20G will be great turbo on yours too,i would contact Harvey here for 20G or Andy F develop 20G billet version.

Thanks Jura. I have emailed Harvey already and he has been so helpful, top bloke. It was about his headers and matched up pipe, so I think I contact him reference a turbo aswell.
Any ideas on a price for 650 injectors?

I was told the sti tmic will be ok up too 400bhp, Make sure its what you want my friend has a blob sti was 350bhp and was awesome car to drive he done all the correct mods and got the best parts possible no money spared now running 420bhp on low boost and yes its ultra quick but he says as an everyday car 350bhp is perfect

-shane- 28 September 2011 09:17 PM

Also he got 350bhp from just a full exhaust, filter, headers and a map

Thanks Shane. Sounds like my car is running a bit low on HP with the mods I have already. I'm just after a few more horses, getting close to 400 I would love. And to be honest I am really looking forward to putting my own touch to the best car I have ever owned, and only had it a month or so.
I just want to do it right and not spend money twice so am asking and reading all I can. Getting very confused over turbos at the moment, but really glad I found this sight. Seem to be a lot of people in the know with so much knowledge. And no one has got pissed off with me yet asking bone questions. Lol.
Thanks Shane

Just a bit of help please with turbo. Going to go for a 20g but really confused. There are TD05, TD06, TD05h, then, top mount or feed, and side feed, on about maybe changing oil lines and water lines.... I'm just after a nice 20g which is pretty much bolt on, then see Harvey for ported headers ect.
Sorry for bone question but please help reference turbo

TD05-20G is right turbo for you,TD06-20G will be too laggy on yours,i've seen few,but not impressed with these.
20G are usually front entry turbos, with some 20G you will get braided oil lines and gaskets

I said before Andy F now develop Billet 20G which will be nice on yours

Or contact Harvey which selling 20G for great money too

Massive thanks to Harvey for not only taking the time to e-mail me a number of times, but to give me a call for nearly half an hour and explain the ins and out of turbos and other things.
So my list is now finalised and saving has begun. Let's get Xmas out of the way so I can have my new turbo and supporting mods to go with it. I can't wait.
Thanks again Harvey.

i used std oil line and modified the std water pipes for my TD05 20G, good turbo in my experience

Shopping list coming together slowly. Think I might have spent to much this month already, oops.
But all in a good course. :-)

Got some Harvey headers and some other bits. Never heat wrapped before, does this look ok? Have o gone over the top with the lock wire?

Got more bit together now and hoping to fit and remap after Xmas is over. I can't wait.
Just a quick question regarding milage. MY03STI is at 90 k, just over, with a really good service history. I'm hoping it should be fine with a nice 20g turbo on. Any comment with that milage and turbo, hoping for 360 to 380 HP.
