saw it today

5door Impreza
two tone paint work (Bright Cherry Red top, Silver bottom)
lifted surspention
spare wheel on the rear boot (saying 'Gravel Express' on the spare wheel cover)

r these imports?
who has one???

These are an imported model known as "Gravel Express" models (as you obviously spotted).

I think they are likend to the Legacy Outback model, i.e. higher suspension and more robust for rougher "cross country" use.
Subaru beat the Audi and Volvo versions by years!

And the nice thing is...Subaru do Bull Bars for them...massive ones that even go around the headlights! Not very aerodynamic but brilliant for those inconsiderate parkers who keep putting dings in our doors http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

I thought a single bar basically the width of the front grill which comes up to the top of the grill and back down again would look cool... and be very handy... but then again...

There is sometimes one of these in the long term car park at Birmingham airport.

I believe they are all automatics and use a down-tuned (240-250 bhp) WRX engine.
