Lower or not to lower that is the question?

Hi all
now ive recently de-marmited my car by taking off all the stickers im thinking of changing the look of my bug another way?
Whats the general opinion of lowering? im thinking of dropping it by 30mm :wonder:

I think it definetly needs lowering mate, it will look a lot better as well as handle better, go for some coilovers or a decent set of springs.

As above lower and nice 18" alloys will finish your car nicely

Lower it!!!! Instant smiles :thumb:

Some people will say it wont handle as well but i can safely say that mine handles better than standard with the coilovers, whiteline arb's and poly bushes. Besides unless you track it or drive like a tit on public roads you wont notice plus the improvement in looks is massive.

Bug WRX's always look like they are on stilts from the factory LOL My first change was to Eibach springs which lowered it nicely :D

Is that a blob scoop ??

scoobyman.matt 25 September 2011 07:13 PM

Mine rub on the floor when i corner but if you leave them on the car looks lower...

a5h 25 September 2011 07:15 PM

No question drop it!!!

wiley 25 September 2011 08:23 PM

lower it, all about dragging the mud flaps lol.
best looking scoop for a bug eye is the STi one, the wrx one is a bit too small, but the blob eye style one which you have (i had before) is a bit too big
also a small HT autos lip on the front works wonders

Definatley lower it mate, my bugeye is dropped using Eibach springs and I don't think the ride has been effected too much. Ohh and I also have mud flaps fitted :thumb:
