Which Gearbox?
 

Im going to change my box in my 1997 wrx import. Which box would you advise? Either go for another TY754 or a TY752 with matching rear diff?:wonder:

Depends what youre after mate. The 752's with 4.1 diff run shorter ratio's than a 754 as most of them have a 3.9 diff (on a classic). So the 752 is better for short bust acceleration but not top speed. Also, the 754 is a stronger box, better suited to something modified.

I'm about to swap my 754 box in 2 weeks time as mine has done 118k and I got a cheap low mileage box/diff. If you want to give a TY754vn2aa a try i'll be selling my box/diff for £150.

It had a replacement centre diff 1000 miles ago, done by Carnetix in Melton Mowbray and ran Syntrax oil with regular changes.

still not received my hose back.
