Change of colour on the dash

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the colour of the dials on the clocks, I hate the green and think it looks very boring, has anyone changed the colour and if so how did they do it? Your input would be much appreciated,

Classic or newage?

Not heard any real success stories from changing the bulbs so probably best buying new set of RED Led STI clocks, but they're not cheap and don't come up too often.

The lighting is all done on classics using clear bulbs and a green filter.

You would have to open up the clocks, remove the filter(s), and replace with a SUITABLE one of your choice.

I've not heard many success stories just putting coloured bulbs in, since whatever bulb you fit is STILL shining through a green filter, removing most of any other colours BUT green.
I HAVE seen folk try red bulbs, only to find the clocks are too dim to see, for the above reason: all the red filtered out. Nowt left to pass through:(

Does anyone make these filters in different colours or will it have to be a DIY job? Seems much easier changing the filter than changing the bulbs over every time you want a colour change.
