removal of backseats?
 

anyone know the cost of removing back seats and fitting a roll cage? as i want to lighten the car cheers :thumb:

The roll cage will probabl;y weigh as much as the seats:( The rear seats are mostly foam, with a lightweight steel bar in it for srtength/support. They weigh next to nowt.

You can remove 'em yourself: two, or three bolts along the front edge of the seat base, then lift and pull.
Then three more bolts along the lower edge of the back support, knock sharply upwards, then lift out.

Removal of rear seats = FREE

Cost and fitting of cage = £££'s

Weight saved = 0

Weight added = quite a lot.
