remapers beware- you have competition !!

Remapers beware !! came across this today and could not help but hope that amongst the guys thousands off good feedbacks there was not many that were for the buying off this "" chip in a box "" ??!!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Performanc...item3cbb52d86b

up to 30BHP extra ??

The skyline figures they achieved were pretty impressive eh ??!!

kinda scary that folk would buy this at under a tenner and risk blowing there engine - could it infact blow your engine in using one off these alone ??

what does this give that the simple resistor that he mentions in his advert that apparantly other sellers pass off as a tuning device actually offer apart from an extra white plastic box ??!!

Think the remapers on the forum are certainly safe for a good while yet !!

i've seen these on ebay for years now, don't believe the feedback, i'm sure most is made up..

djandyg 12 September 2011 05:35 PM

competition i think not lol.

These have been around for years, they wont really give you any power, and they wont do your car any good! I think most of them essentially trick the car into thinking its running on a cold start, so increase the fueling slightly...maybe wrong

alcazar 12 September 2011 05:37 PM

And add to that, they cost around £1 in parts, if that.

jono300 12 September 2011 05:39 PM

Sorry you did not think I was seriously interested in them did you ??!!

was having a laugh guys !!

so your are saying you wont get an extra 30BHP and up to 83BHP on a skyline ??

ah well guess I will just stick with my appointment for the local mapper !!
