You will just get a new handset, apple don't do repairs just replace

hpoolsteve 10 September 2011 08:26 PM

Make sure u have tried a full restore because that's the first thing apple will ask u

Darc174 11 September 2011 01:26 PM

I can't see a restore helping as it was working now it's not

hpoolsteve 11 September 2011 02:10 PM

99.99% that a restore WON'T work. It's the first thing that apple will ask you if you have done.

I might just buy a new proximity sensor and replace it myself

why when you will get a new handset exchanged :wonder: just seems daft

ScoobyDoo555 11 September 2011 04:30 PM

The restore is so that when you get a new phone, you can restore your new phone to the same settings as your old knackered one :ie contacts etc etc...
