Semi closed deck & forged pistons, plus the newer age bolt type rods, may even have the nitrided cross drilled crank.

JDM = Semi closed deck block, hypereuetic pistons, uprated crank (nitrided/x drilled for better oil feed), twin scroll etc etc etc, its a better engine.

Tony:)

Far superiour engine to the uk as tony and GT have said above,it also has big port avcs heads and cams same as what the spec c has,a close ratio gearbox, and wider track 114pcd,a JDM blob sti is the only model i would have if i was looking to go the newage route.;)

An 03 car wouldn't be wide track would it?

No... JDM MY03 is not wide track. MY05> is Wide Track.

As already pointed out the pistons are not forged either. They are hypereuetic.

My jdm is an early my05 as on an 04 plate august 2004 I think. I would lookout for a my05 if I was in your position as a few improvements were added when they went wide track
