Saab files for bankruptcy
Just saw this on BBC News. I didn't even realise Saab in particular were struggling, even with all the issues GM have had in the last couple of years. I wonder if this will impact the rest of the GM group?
|
Not sure GM will be bothered seeing as they sold it to Spyker in 2010...
|
Nato - where have you been?
Saab been circling the drain for a few years, even before GM flogged them off. Can't see them coming back to be honest unless they 'do a Rover' and are Saab in name only with bits from china. 5t. |
Maybe that's why it's gone under then. Spyker are hardly a 'big noise'.
Never really paid much attention to Saab tbh, and as a result I never really paid attention to their troubles. I guess I ought to pay nmore attention! |
Was there not some rumblings about the mafia of some sort being involved with them?
|
Oh wow never saw this coming.
|
They were technically bankrupt 3 years ago, i'm surprised it's taken Spyker till now to read the last rites.

Sorry to hear that. Saab showed great skills in car building as well as with their aircraft.

Very sad. I`ve had six Saab cars over the years and loved every one of them. have been a fan since watching their rally exploits many years ago in the 96.
|
I had a 900 T16s... stonking car,
replaced with a 9-3 2.2 Tid . no where near as good... good spec, but hampered by near on total reliance of dealers / specialists for diagnostic work give me vag com any day Mart |
Suppose its what happens when people finally realise that Saabs are actually nothing like fighter jets, and are crap
|
I think they struggled when all the old people stopped buying them :)
|
I think the dam edna (sorry Im crap with names) glasses they have decided to put on them now.
|
I cant remember the last I saw a Saab dealership, shame.
Those were the days :notworthy http://i53.tinypic.com/2ept3ir.jpg |
