Phew. I know it was hughly unlikely, but still worrying to read.

Thoughts to the family of whoever was involved.

JonMc 04 September 2011 04:00 PM

Isn't his red/orange though - lets hope he's okay and condolences for the family of the person who died:(

Myles 04 September 2011 04:06 PM

Heart in my mouth time when I read Clio. Saw that Frayz was prepping the car for the 'Ring.

TonyBurns 04 September 2011 04:08 PM

I think some of the comments say it all, that crash looked 99.9% survivable, thrown from the car (passenger) denotes no seatbelt, the indentation to the drivers window is either the passenger hitting the driver or the driver not wearing a seatbelt...

Tony

how do you know he wasn't wearing a seat belt etc. you dont!
and 99.9% survivable well unlucky for him he was in the 0.01%
you have no idea what happened!! so should not speculate.

no i have no idea what happened but neither does anyone else.
it is a terrible accident, but saying its 99.9% survivable is a bit stupid as the passenger is dead and nobody knows the details of the crash as yet.
i have been to the ring and they checked for seat belt wearing before i set off.

Because it is a 99.9% survivable accident, ever had an accident where a car has rolled?
The shell looks to be in very good condition, its designed that way, the seatbelts have pretentioners, its virtually impossible to be thrown from a car when they go off (been there, its also hard to get them off afterwards as your pretty much pinned to your seat), anyway ive translated the german news for you to read:-

agreed but still doesn't say not wearing a seatbelt, car has flipped over so anything could of happened, seatbelts don't hold great upside down,
im not wishing to start an argument as its an awful and tragic accident.

it is tragic, but you dont get thrown out of modern cars if you are wearing a seatbelt, go sit in your passenger seat and try getting out of it with the belt attached, that will answer all your questions.
Oh and seatbelts do hold you in very well upside down, you will find the pretentioners do a great job there, but you also have to think about centrifugal force.

Guys im out here at the moment. There is more info on this accident and others to come. I dont want to say too much till more facts are known.

I myself am safe, however someone is ringing a UK family today to tell them that their son wont be coming home. Terrible news to anyone no matter what the circumstances.

I here for another coupleof days yet, so i'll update when possible.
