ok, ive just had my gearbox rebuilt, obv i need to now replace oil, is the front diff seperate from the box? is the centre ( dccd ) seperate from the box? which type of oil do i need for box and diffs ( front, centre and rear ) thanks.

Millers CRX 75w 90NT is good for the job. You'll only need to fill the gearbox and rear diff 3.5 litres in rear and around a litre or so in the rear.

depends on the rear diff, i have an ra with dccd box and r180 lsd diff, used motul 300 for the box and motul 90pa for the diff with good results.

i take it then the front diff and centre diff are covered included in the gearbox oil? just ordered from oilman who told me to use motul 300 for both box and rear diff....so i have lol

yeh the front and centre diff share the same oil as the gearbox about 3.5l will do the box and 1l for the rear diff

is it a type r you have going by your user name? if so it will be an lsd type rear diff so will be better with an lsd specific oil

With the DCCD units, the Motul Gear 300 seems to work out best. The Millers CRX is often a good option, but not always right for the DCCD.

thanks jay, yes it is a type r, oilman has advised me to use the motul 300 gear oil throughout the box and rear diff, i was thinking along the same lines myself but if the man says.....then the man says lol
